i just realised that it has been insanely long since i last wrote anything here.
it's 2009 already!!! & i have survived 3 months in london...
2008 has been a very eventful year. fantastic year? maybe not. i think many things have changed and my priorities have also changed. all for the better i hope.
i really missing my friends in singapore. >.< melmel choong, zhen, siobhan, agnes. xiuhui. lele, wanqing, aggy, changrong, sabbie, yuru, shalom, marcus, chin nam, jeremy. shermin, huiying, mich, jj, ryan, evi. ro, meichen, meiping. sookie, pong, juju, xinyi, engchiew, peckyan, chuanhan, mengjia. so many people who matter so much to me. =)
time to make 2009 a fruitful year too!

after almost a month in london, i'm finally more or less settled down! (settled down enough to start blogging again) hehe. everything has been pretty much going smoothly except that i'm down with flu now & i can't really speak much.
my course mates are nice too. (at least the ones i have met so far) i haven't really spoken to quite a number of people... will make the effort to do so soon. =) i only have some small petty complaints here and there but i will live through them. can't ask for too much in foreign environment anyway. i guess so far my course has been manageable. the tutorials are not too difficult. and even if i do have some problems, it's easy to consult the postgrad students who come to monitor us. =) just need to target the ones who are really good. hehe.
hall life is fun! except that i'm not in my own hall most of the time. i go next door where there are a lot more singaporeans! =P my cooking buddies are melissa(mel), weizhao, yi bin and zi jian. =D really fun spending time with them. =D we practically do everything together. haha. a bit isolated but i guess that is ok for the initial part.
now it's just about getting back into the mode of studying and socialising and choosing what societies to join. =D
missing lots of people in singapore though... =X

the past few days has been a mad rush for everything.
last saturday i had lunch with jeremy and dave. =) ntu attachment friends. =D
lunch at marina square foodcourt then ice-cream at gelare. & a lot of chim camera stuff going on between them in between. nicenice to meet up with them after a long long time.
then dinner with grandma & family.
on sunday, i spent my whole day with my mum & dad starting with going to the market in the morning, then cooking curry, & lastly a good long walk from science park to hortpark. haha.
then monday was the offical party & sleepover day for 4a girls. =) packing a bit of my room in the morning before meeting jeremy for my last minute shopping at imm then lunch at mos. =) then rushrushrush back home to start preparing the food for my dear girls. =) we made shui jiao together! =) then had dinner where we had our own homemade shuijiao and vegetable curry with bread. wee~ then i had to rush off to the airport to send yonglong off while mengjia went off to teach tuition... by the time i was back, peckyan and engchiew had already gone home. =( then we went on to watch a funny korean movie, with lots of chips and mahjong!!! had to sleep by 3am since i was going driving the next day.
tuesday morning was early wake-up time for us at 7am since chuanhan had project meeting. so we had breakfast at macs then i rushed down for driving. after driving, i went down to nuh to collect the medicine my nurse helped me get. then rushrushrush again to meet shermin at cityhall! unfortunately, my bus got de-toured because of the road closure and i got a bit lost. luckily shermin was late too! we had katong laksa, then my favourite jap dessert at mof. =DD then it was a touristy day for us to take lots of photos! with the esplanade... and the best photo was the one in the middle of the main road with the city skyline behind us (because of the road closure) which was taken by one of the traffic police for us!!! wee~~ then shermin rushed off for her tuition while i headed down to orchard road to meet xiuhui & shelvi for dinner. =)) dinner at food republic!! super nice catching up with them. really hope that shelvi & jianhao do well for the upcoming A'levels. & they bought me a pair of pink flipflops for my farewell gift. =D then again i rushed back home to shower before dexuan picked me up to play mahjong at his place with all his pro friends. i think 4a girls' version is so much less intimidating. lol. by the time i reached home it was 1am and by the time i flopped onto my bed, it was 2am. TIRED!!
finally i woke up today at 8.30am then rushed down for driving again & met shermin's mum on the way there! then back home for lunch with mum & dad before my much-deserved afternoon nap. >.<>.<

for a moment, my title suggests that i'm going to die soon or something.
i have exactly 10days left before i board my maiden flight to london!! time really seems to be passing so quickly that i have hardly have time to think about what i'm really doing. >.<>.< all of which i seem to suck at. =( i feel kind of guilty on backing out from the plans that i originally agreed to. but i really can't seem to dig out time!!!
i'm falling in love with floorball now! all the excitment during the game and learning new things each time (2 so far only) but i think i'm quite keen on taking that up when i'm in imperial. =DD
so far i have met up with agnes and shermin this week. next week is somewhat dedicated to 4a girls & driving. >.< i must get some things done tomorrow!!! like studying before i go meet up with my civil eng senior to do shopping & dinner with civil eng ancestorS!! =DD
maybe i should just study now.

i think i'm having an unfortunate bout of bad luck recently.
many things have not been going the way i want them too. =X
i got my accomodation already but it's not at the place i wanted & it's expensive.
i failed my driving test previously.
i just shatter a big piece of glass on one of the side tables at home because i dropped the cookie jar.
the bank account and visa is driving me nuts.
& i can't help but feel sad and helpless. =(
on the bright side, i have been meeting up with more people lately!
1 night at siobhan's room at ntu. =) squash, mooncakes and macdonalds'. =D & of course all my 2k dearies. '7 years of friendship' as quoted from mel. =D
spent the afternoon with nathania today too! the next time i'll see her is probably in london!
& i just realised i have 3 weeks left in sg. everything seems to be moving too fast.

today i attempted doing my visa (FINALLY) but to no avail since i sent my Original scholarship letter to imperial and imperial refused to send me an unconditional offer. =X so i immediately called sharon to give me another copy of the scholarship letter. =) then THIS evening, DHL came to deliver a letter from imperial. someone is definitely playing tricks on me, just when i decided to do my visa in the morning. OHWELLS. luck is probably not my side this week. will do everything with wenxiang next week. =)
had lunch with dearest zhen at soupspoon then we went shopping! we managed to get everything she set out to get. =) quite accomplishing. hehe. supposed to meet mel but i wonder what happened to that plan... hehe.
sojourn (imperial singsoc camp) starts tomorrow! & i still haven't packed. >.<

going back to school seems very exciting! i have been going for a few talks to know more about moving and living in the uk. =)) & my seniors are supersuper nice and helpful!! it really makes things a lot easier. =DD & i'm very excited & happy about going over for the next 4 years!! YAYS!
going back to school also means crashing lessons!! i'm starting my routine on wednesday with zhenling at the school of engineering! =) still have lots of others to crash, halls to stay in & meeting up with friends!
